The volunteer spotlight for September highlights Zachary Baitinger, Delta Omega/Ripon College 1997.
As a student at Ripon College, Zach was elected Secretary and Marshal and also served as President of the IFC. After graduation, Zach stayed involved and helped advise the Gamma Mu chapter at Bowling Green State University until he moved to Colorado in 2000.
In Colorado, Brother Baitinger continued his service to Theta Chi by working with the Gamma Lambda Chapter at the University of Denver and with a potential colony at the University of Colorado. Along the way, he also earned his MBA at Colorado State University. He always expressed interest in restarting the inactive Delta Eta Chapter, and ultimately assisted IHQ staff members with a formal expansion presentation at Colorado State University.
In 2010, he began working with International Headquarters staff members as they recruited men to recolonize the chapter at Delta Eta/Colorado State University. Zach’s hard work and dedication was instrumental in Delta Eta's reinstallation which occurred in April 2013. You can read all about Delta Eta’s recent success in recruitment by clicking here.
Zach is an honorary member of Delta Eta/Colorado State and Theta Psi/Wisconsin-Oshkosh (where he was the installing Marshal). Zach is currently serving as the Counselor for Delta Eta Chapter Advisory Board (CAB) and is looking to kick start their housing corporation in the near future.
Zach works and lives in Fort Collins, CO. and has been married to his wife, Dee, for 15 years. They have two children, Olivia and Jacob. He is “living the dream” working in supply chain at New Belgium Brewing Company.
