Gamma Xi has a lot to brag about. Not only did they bring their chapter GPA up from 2.39 in the fall 2011, (lowest average GPA) to 2.91 in the spring 2012, (the second highest) in one semester, but their brother, Jose Ochoa (2013), won the title of Mr. Fraternity. Mr. Fraternity is an annual philanthropy event of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, now in its 25th year.

This year hard work resulted in their largest pledge class in 20-30 years of chapter history. They focused on improving the digital media of their websites, and advertised with Facebook Ads and Google Adwords, created a new homepage, and awesome rush fliers. As a result, they were able to recruit 27 quality men.

Their annual Alumni Homecoming Tailgate was also a big success. More than 100 alumnus and their friends/families turned out. During the entire day, approximately 200 people stopped by the Gamma Xi tent. Alumnus brothers were also impressed with the recent modifications to the chapter house: new floors, furniture, bar, crest, etc.
