The mission of Theta Chi is to develop college-age men into successful students, good citizens, lifelong brothers, and resolute leaders. That mission serves as the driving force behind all the decisions made at Theta Chi International Headquarters (IHQ), including the selective process of adding new, dynamic talent to our ranks that will continue to add more layers to our brotherhood. We’re proud to announce our new additions to the IHQ team.
Shannon Bull
Shannon Bull joined the staff as an Administrative Assistant in November 2022. Prior to joining staff, Shannon spent 17 years at FedEx Office and another six as a preschool teacher. In her role, Shannon performs various administrative tasks to support the Fraternity’s daily operations.
Dr. Corey Esquenazi (Iota Theta/Central Florida 2011)
Dr. Corey Esquenazi returned to the IHQ staff in January 2023 as Director of Health and Safety. Corey originally traveled as a Leadership Education Consultant and Field Executive from 2013 to 2015. In the interim, Corey served as Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at High Point University and received his Ph.D. in higher education and policy studies from the University of Central Florida in 2021. As Director of Health and Safety, Corey implements our Sacred Purpose initiative and provides relevant programming and resources to our Vice Presidents of Health and Safety and our collegiate brothers.
Jen Martin
Jen joined IHQ staff as Housing Support Specialist in July 2023. Before her time with Theta Chi, she spent several years in the property management, design build, and facilities industries. In her role, Jen will be assisting the Chief Housing Officer with daily operations.
Don Mitchell (Zeta Rho/Kentucky 2022)
Don joined the staff as an Assistant Director of Chapter Development in January 2023. Don graduated from the University of Kentucky in December 2022 with his bachelor’s degree in finance and a certificate in distillation and brewery. Prior to joining staff, Don worked for Kentuckiana Pool Management in his hometown of Louisville. Don will primarily be working with our chapters in the Northeast.
Angel Rodriguez (Delta Theta/Toledo 2023)
Angel serves as a Growth Specialist for Theta Chi. He joined Delta Theta Chapter at the University of Toledo and graduated in May 2023 with a bachelor of business administration in human resource management and a minor in business law. Angel will be recruiting Resolute Men to reinstall Eta Delta Chapter at Babson College, located near Boston.
Zack Ross (Eta/Rhode Island 2023)
Zack joined IHQ staff as a Growth Specialist in June 2023. He graduated in May 2023 from the University of Rhode Island, double majoring in communications and media studies. As a Growth Specialist, Zack will be responsible for the revitalization of Alpha Rho Chapter at the University of Washington.
Eric Rys (Delta Rho/NC State 2023)
Eric serves as a Growth Specialist for Theta Chi. He graduated from North Carolina State University in May of 2023, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in international relations and a minor in economics. Eric has a passion for geopolitics along with international business. This upcoming fall, Eric will be recruiting Resolute Men to reinstall Eta Delta chapter at Babson College, located near Boston.
Christian Schmidt (Delta Omega/Ripon 2023)
Christian joined IHQ staff as an Assistant Director of Chapter Development in July 2023. Christian graduated from Ripon College in May 2023. As a collegian, Christian served as Chapter President and Chaplain. Prior to joining staff, he also served as a Project Coordinator for Hilltop Trucking and Excavating. He will be primarily responsible for chapters located in the Midwest (with the exception of those located in Wisconsin).
Greg Rush
Greg joined IHQ staff as Director of Communications in June 2023. Greg is a 2018 alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to his role at Theta Chi, he worked at Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity and Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and served as an Expansion Consultant from 2019-2021 and remains an active alumni volunteer to this day. In his role, Greg assists in the execution of strategic communication, public relations, and brand management strategy along with management and production of social media and online and print publications.
Sam Terry (Kappa Gamma/North Florida 2022)
Sam Terry joined staff in June 2022 as a Growth Specialist. Sam is a 2022 graduate of the University of North Florida. During his first year on staff, Sam worked to reinstall the Gamma Sigma Chapter in Durham, NC and revitalize the Eta Upsilon Chapter at Texas A&M. In June 2023, he was promoted to Associate Director of Growth. In his new role, he assists in all efforts that drive the growth of the Fraternity including supervising the Growth Specialists, colony and chapter development, and university/college interest groups.
Maddie Whipple
Maddie Whipple joined the staff as Executive Administrator for the Foundation Chapter in December 2022. Maddie graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2022, where she served as president and founder of Her Campus at Indy, an online magazine that caters to college-aged women. Before joining the International Headquarters staff, Maddie worked as an HR assistant at the Village of Avon Health and Rehabilitation. As Executive Administrator for the Foundation Chapter, Maddie oversees state registration and distribution of all Chapter Funds and works with the Foundation’s scholarship program.
