Fernando Monge, Iota Omicron/Florida International 2014, was recently selected to be the new Vice president of Administration for the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Florida International University (FIU). Typically, the terms for executive board members of the IFC run from spring to fall, but the Vice president of Administration position became available when the current Vice president of Administration resigned late spring.
When applications for the Vice president of Administration position became available to students, Monge applied and competed against four other applicants for the position. Last week, he received an email confirming that he had been selected for the position.
“As Vice president of Administration I will mainly take on the duties of a secretary. I will take the minutes of all our IFC meetings, hold on to those and various other records, maintain the rest of the IFC board, directors, Ambassadors, and the chapter Presidents are informed of upcoming rush and non-rush events. I wills also help out with running errands and sending messages for the IFC President and IFC Campus Life adviser,” said Monge.
