Dwayne Isaacs (Iota Nu/South Florida 2005), Assistant Director of Student Life and Engagement at USF-St. Petersburg, recently received the Outstanding Employee of the Year Award during an event hosted by the Regional Chancellor.
The award is to publicly recognize employees of USFSP who consistently demonstrate exceptional efforts, significant achievements and contributions to the university. Each award consists of a check in the amount of $500 and an engraved plaque.
“I was completely surprised to be a recipient of this award,” said Isaacs. “I was so thankful to have been recognized with this amazing honor on our campus in recognition for my service at USFSP. I have only been at the St. Petersburg campus for a little over two years and to be recognized among staff members who have been here for decades was truly an honor,” he continued.
Brother Isaacs served as an adviser to our colony at USF and was initiated as an alumnus when the colony was installed as Iota Nu Chapter in 2010. He has remained a key alumnus adviser for Iota Nu, despite the move to the new campus at USFSP.
When asked about Theta Chi's impact, Isaacs’ response was:
“Being a member of Theta Chi has impacted my adult life in ways I cannot begin to explain. I have become more civically engaged with my surrounding community, contributed to the professional development of college students, served as a life coach, and have experienced the effects of true brotherhood,” he said. “Theta Chi has enhanced my life to be more full and meaningful and I am so thankful to be a member of this fraternity,” he concluded.
Congratulations to Brother Isaacs!
