Eta Phi Alumnus wins Award from Oakland
Oakland University’s Alumni Association recently posted on Facebook that Anthony Boganey (Eta Phi/Oakland 1988) received an award:
“Congratulations to Anthony Boganey, the 2019 Alumni Community Service Award recipient!
While a student at OU, Tony served as an Orientation Group Leader; and as member of the Oakland University Senate and the Student Congress where served as President. He was involved with his fraternity, Theta Chi, and he was a Resident Assistant in the resident halls. He was also a Matilda Wilson Award recipient. As an alumnus, Tony stays connected to OU through regional activities in the southern California area, as well as on campus during Homecoming and Reunion weekend.
Tony graduated with a political science degree from Oakland University in 1988 before moving into the medical field and becoming an endocrine surgeon and clinical instructor at the Naval Medical Center.
In 1999, Tony entered the Naval Service. During his tenure in the military, Tony has earned an assortment of accolades including the Navy Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2).
