Dear Brothers and Friends of Theta Chi Fraternity,
The Foundation Chapter is proud to announce the completion of Theta Chi’s Cornerstone Capital Campaign to endow the Sasser Presidents Conference!
Two hundred twenty-eight Brothers from 92 chapters gave of their personal wealth in order to pave the way for the next generation of Theta Chis. Furthermore, the participants of the 2015 and 2016 Presidents Conference made their own pledge commitments in order to ensure this conference is a staple in our Fraternity.
As of January 15th, 2016 the Cornerstone Capital Campaign raised $1,519,525 in tax-deductible gift commitments.
In 2014, The Foundation Chapter of Theta Chi embarked on a mission to support the top leaders in our Fraternity. The Presidents Conference rose to become the Fraternity’s premiere leadership experience, providing our Chapter Presidents with the training needed to succeed in today’s college environment. The decision was made to embark on a Capital Campaign aimed at endowing the conference with $1,500,000 in tax-deductible gifts. The gifts made to Cornerstone will alleviate financial burden on our Chapter Presidents for generations to come.
Through this endeavor, a leader emerged with a vision to provide our Presidents with an executive level education, as they are essentially CEOs of their respective chapters. Dollar Tree CEO Bob Sasser (Gamma Rho/Florida State 1973) made a lead gift of $250,000 to anchor the funding of the campaign. In honor of his commitment to executive education, this leadership event has been renamed the Sasser Presidents Conference. In Brother Sasser’s address of the Chapter Presidents this past weekend he noted, “In business there is an open sign and a closed sign. When you are a leader there is no closed sign.”
Thank you to all of you who joined us in this historic endeavor to enhance our Fraternity. You have truly demonstrated your commitment to our Fraternity and you are actively living the motto, “Theta Chi for Life!” The campaign celebration and donor wall dedication will be Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the International Headquarters in Carmel, Indiana.
There is much to celebrate with the completion of Cornerstone, but this is just the beginning. Look forward to new opportunities in 2016 for our brothers to "Stand Up and Lead" by supporting The Foundation Chapter of Theta Chi!

Formerly known as the One Purpose Campaign, the goal for the Cornerstone Capital Campaign is to raise $1,500,000 in pledge commitments from Theta Chi alumni. The funds raised will be used towards the establishment of an endowment covering the cost of the Presidents Conference or other leadership initiatives as determined by the Foundation’s Board; operating in accordance with the spending, investment, and administrative fee policies as determined by the Foundation’s Board, as amended from time to time. The remaining gifts, and any gifts raised beyond the campaign goal, will be allocated as unrestricted gifts to support the mission of the Foundation Chapter. The administrative costs of the Cornerstone Capital Campaign will be paid for through the proceeds of the campaign, and are not to exceed 15% of all campaign gifts received.
