The National Panhellenic Conference, one of the largest advocacy organizations for women, recognized Dave Conner (Alpha Xi/Delaware 2003) as the top advisor for its 2011/2013 biennium awards during their annual meeting held Oct. 12, 2013, in Los Angeles.
Conner is the assistant director for fraternity and sorority life at The College of New Jersey since 2007. In addition to being a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, Conner serves on the board of directors for the Northeast Greek Leadership Association (NGLA), and is the former technology chairman for the NGLA Annual Conference and the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors.
Conner guided The College of New Jersey’s Panhellenic Council in developing and implementing a new social policy designed to reduce high risk behavior and activity. He also worked with chapter leaders to end hazing practices and to develop member education programs.
On Sept. 18, 2013, Conner was also presented the Helen Shaw Staff Excellence and Special Achievement Award from The College of New Jersey. The award, established by the Helen Shaw Endowment, recognizes the role of TCNJ staff members as full partners in the College’s educational process and institutional activities, and acknowledges their commitment, dedication and contributions to the College.
Conner serves as the sole advisor to more than 1,300 representing 30 fraternities and sororities.
