Joshua A. Wilson (Delta Kappa/Ball State 2003) was honored with the White House's Bronze President's Volunteer Service Award for his time spent volunteering through AT&T, where he works, and also at his church and for Theta Chi. The Bronze award is presented to volunteers who log between 100 and 249 service hours.

This prestigious national honor is issued by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation on behalf of the President of the United States to recognize the best in the American spirit, and to encourage all Americans to improve their communities through volunteer service, and civic participation. For his work, Brother Wilson was recognized in the March 28, 2012 edition of USA Today along with the other recipients.

Brother Wilson was also recognized by his alma mater, Ball State University, as a G.O.L.D. Award recipient. According to the award website, “The Graduate Of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) Award annually recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of recent graduates of Ball State University. These Alumni have already demonstrated their promise and potential for outstanding endeavors by quickly becoming involved in different aspects of life after college. This award is designed to include both traditional and nontraditional graduates."
